BURLINGTON, VT- Shark Communications, an integrated branding and digital marketing agency based in Burlington, Vermont, has launched a new weekly mobile web marketing initiative for Alberstons grocery stores based in Boise, Idaho. Delivered through Shark's QR Code and mobile web marketing service, Mobi2Go.net the Albertsons' program integrates QR codes placed strategically in-store and on marketing communications that link to a mobile video.
In a recent Progressive Tech Grocer article describing Albertsons emerging digital and social media marketing strategies, it was noted: "Online video is leveraged in a unique in-store program for the current summer grilling season, which enables shoppers to scan a QR code using their smartphones to get access to recipes with tips on grilling Albertsons’ Steakhouse Choice cuts of meat. Each Albertsons meat department displays a Steakhouse Choice poster with a QR code that leads directly to the Albertsons Market mobile site. From there, users can watch the latest grilling video, view a recipe and share the recipe via e-mail with friends. Customers can also connect to the company’s Facebook page to “like” the page and view more Steakhouse Choice recipes and videos. In addition to the mobile site and Facebook page, all of the videos can be found on Albertsons Market’s YouTube channel."
