Hat's off to my esteemed friend, Gregory B. Vit, for the release of his new book, The Risk in Risk Management now available on Amazon. A Director and Professor at the Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies, McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Dr. Vit's treatise on banking, financial institutions and the problem of conformity is no easy read. But as a bank marketing dude, still climbing the upslope on the Stanford-Binet Bell curve, I actually enjoy the persepctive from an academic who is over the top and shussing the down slope. A bit of Brookline Bank News: Brookline Bancorp Inc. (Nasdaq: BRKL) a longtime agency client plans to move into its new headquarters in Boston’s Back Bay this weekend. The company, parent of Brookline Bank, First Ipswich Bank and Bank Rhode Island, bought the 62,000-square-foot building at 131 Clarendon St. in June 2011 for about $14 million. The site was formerly the home of The Hard Rock Café. The Clarendon condominium tower now sits on what was a parking lot on the property.
